Bosses who want to get the best out of their staff should pick favourites as it encourages them to be better team players, a study suggests.
Researchers at UBC who surveyed 398 employees and students in two surveys found being the boss’s favourite gave some people higher self-esteem and made them more likely to carry out tasks that benefited the group as a whole.
